  • Nope - phantom power isn’t needed! The SM7B is a dynamic microphone, so it doesn't require 48V to operate. However, it does have a very low output, which means it needs a clean boost in gain. That’s why we include the CL-1 Cloudlifter—to give you the extra signal strength your preamp might lack, without adding noise.

  • The Shure SM7b bundle comes with the SM7b mic, a CL-1 Cloudlifter, and (2) 25ft XLRs so you can go from the mic, to the CL1, to your interface. All this wrapped into one bundle.

    Need a pop filter or stand for the mic? Those can be added on at checkout.


    *this mic comes with a windscreen, so a pop filter isn’t necessary unless you don’t want to use the provided windscreen.
